Clay Shooting Practice
Southern Counties is open throughout the year, Tuesdays to Sundays. Founded in 1959 it is now the largest shooting ground in the Country with over 450 fully automatic traps and offers practice for the following disciplines:
FITASC & English Sporting
English and Olympic Skeet
DTL, Double Trap, ABT, Universal Trench and Olympic Trap
The trap, skeet and double trap layouts are all equipped with new Laporte machines and Italian Electronica Progetti Computers.
Our sporting layout includes a grouse butt and our renowned 140 foot high tower.
The ground uses the claymate counter system which is easy to use, even if you are shooting by yourself, and leaves you in charge of how many clays you want to shoot. The clays are charged at 29p per clay.
Practice is normally open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9am until 4.45pm and on Sundays 9am to 4pm. We are closed on Mondays including Bank Holiday Mondays. Although practice is on a turn up and shoot basis, please ring us on 01935-83625 if you are unsure that the discipline you require is available.
